The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is encouraging the county to take part in the Waste Free February Challenge. The aim is to produce as little rubbish as possible through reusing, recycling and composting more items. Now in its third year the challenge saw 400 people save eight tonnes of rubbish from the bins last February. You can join their Facebook Group to share your progress and ideas.
They have also produced a really useful Wiltshire Waste Free Feb Guide which is packed with handy tips and ideas on how to live less wastefully, including things like how to make a wormery, where you can recycle hard to recycle items and local facilities to shop more sustainably. It is a useful guide all year round.
