Central Area Residents Improvement Group Central Area Residents’ Improvement Group (CARIG) is the residents’ association for the Central Swindon area.
Community First Community First is an award winning charity that has supported people and places across Wiltshire and Swindon for over 50 years.
Craft and Chatter Do you enjoy crafts? Or perhaps just fancy a chat? Our open crafts group meets every Wednesday 1-4pm in the Meeting Room at the Central Community Center Emlyn Square, Swindon. Bring any kind of craft you enjoy or would like help to learn or come and enjoy some tea and cake and meet new people. Everyone Welcome!

Swindon Philosophical Society The Swindon Philosophical Society meets in term-time, on Fridays from 7.40 to 9.40 at the Friends’ Meeting House, Eastcott Hill, Swindon SN1 3JF.
A typical evening’s format is a one hour talk, followed by an hour’s discussion – which generally continues in a nearby pub. Everyone is welcome – we’re a friendly bunch – just turn up on the night.
Swindon University of the Third Age (U3A)Swindon U3A is a charity to enable people who are no longer in full time employment to meet, in an informal group environment, with others who share their interests and hobbies. Members can choose from over 140 different ‘interest’ groups, ranging in categories from Arts & Crafts to Music; Languages to Health; History to Keeping Fit; in a wide variety of ways, as well as many more recreational and academic activities.
Volunteer to help local librariesVolunteering can help you develop your skills, meet new people and contribute to your local community. Swindon Libraries are looking for volunteers to help with the Summer Reading Challenge, library support, library IT, english conversation clubs, children’s storytime and activities and library events. 
Volunteer Centre SwindonVolunteer Centre Swindon provides guidance to anyone interested in volunteering. We also give free support, advice, guidance and training to volunteer involving organisations. We run various projects to promote and support volunteering including Involve Swindon
Wiltshire Community FoundationGiving money and support where people need it most.
Zurich Community TrustEvery year, through a combination of grant-making, volunteering and fundraising, Zurich Community Trust (ZCT) is able to support over 600 deserving causes across the UK and overseas.
